2nd WAFE Welding Skills Competition

The teams must have the skills and knowledge in GTAW. The welders must be able to read the blueprints (with the symbols) and distinguish whether they are fillet or groove applications and the bead size, to assess the welder’s skill. The test piece will be carbon steel (A36, 3/32”;), all positions (1F, 2F, 3F & 5F, 1G, 2G, 3G). The filler metal for GTAW is ER70S-6 (1/16”) diameter. Only welders are allowed to compete, not welding instructors.
